Why was I born?
I don’t know for now.
May be one day I will find the truth. But that’s not so important for now. What’s important to know and realize and be grateful about is: I am born as a creature on this planet which can be called as the crown of God’s creation.
I have a manifestation of life which has most comfort at its disposal. Out of so many forms of life on earth, I have a manifestation which can be called as the pinnacle due to its intellect.
What’s also important to realize and be humble about is: I am alive. I was fortunate to be born in a family that could give me every comfort and good life possible. I was fortunate to be born in a country & society where it was so safe that I have survived for so long. I owe a lot of debt to my country / culture / society /neighborhood.
With that said, what’s best I can do? First and foremost is to always conduct myself in a sensible and responsible manner, in whatever I do, which ever sphere of life I am in.
And then what else to do? I mean outside the job, family, enjoyment, social media & what not. The other important thing to do it to explore the highest possibilities this life has to offer. Call it the purpose, or possibilities or whatever, but human life has so many potentialities to explore, which other forms or manifestations of life do not have privilege or access to.
There is not harm if you do not explore life inwards and are content. It’s just you didn’t explore what all was on offer, when you had a chance. As I said, not all life energies get this human manifestation and the possibilities which come with it.
And this exploration can only happen when you look | explore inwards. That’s what our sages realized from time immemorial. And as swami Vivekananda said, Rishi (sage) is on who goes into unchartered territory to explore, dares to go beyond the obvious and into the unseen.
That’s what the culture of my land teaches us: to explore, to seek the truth. And what a wonderful thing – to guide and help others and tell them ways to find the ultimate truth.
So be fearless, bold, seek the reality of life and explore the possibilities. For myself, I still don’t know what the final truth of human existence is, but I am inclined to find it and will continue on this journey. May one day I see the glimpses of it, is what I hope.
